Junior Olympiad 2022

The European Junior Olympiad in Informatics 2022 took place online from the 19th to the 25th of September. The olympiad was organised by Ukraine. The Ukrainian team competed alongside the Polish team in the city of Płock. 172 participants from 32 countries took part in the olympiad.

The Ukrainian team finished second in the team standings, winning 2 gold, 2 silver and 4 bronze medals.

The team consisted of:

1. Alisa Potomkina, a 10th-grade student of the Kyiv “Akademiia” Gymnasium — gold medal (coach — V. I. Melnyk).
2. Denys Tereshchenko, a 10th-grade student of Kyiv Lyceum No. 208 — gold medal (coach — V. I. Melnyk).
3. Ihnat Zharikhin, a 10th-grade student of Kharkiv Educational Complex No. 45 “Academic Gymnasium” — silver medal (coach — M. O. Arzubov).
4. Stepan Simak, a 9th-grade student of Kyiv Lyceum No. 145 — silver medal (coach — A. V. Popyk).
5. Vitalii Foiak, a 10th-grade student of Rohatyn Lyceum named after the Rohatynets Brothers (Ivano-Frankivsk region) — bronze medal (coach — A. V. Popyk).
6. Kseniia Strelbytska, an 8th-grade student of Vinnytsia Physics and Mathematics Lyceum No. 17 — bronze medal (coach — A. V. Popyk).
7. Roman Volochai, a 10th-grade student of Kremenchuk Lyceum “Polit” — bronze medal (coach — V. I. Melnyk).
8. Andrii Basov, a 9th-grade student of the Kyiv “Naukova Zmina” Lyceum — bronze medal (coach — A. V. Popyk).
