{Privacy policy}

This site is run by the Ukrainian Olympiad in Informatics Federation, the organiser of the Ukrainian olympiads in informatics. Questions about this policy or about your data: contact@uoi.ua.

In short

By default this site collects nothing about you. It sets no cookies, loads no third-party scripts, and keeps no visit logs. That changes only when you press “Accept” in the cookie banner yourself.

If you have accepted, the site loads Google Analytics 4 (measurement ID G-TDFWNHK90W). Until then no request is made to Google at all.

Google Analytics sets cookies named _ga and _ga_*, and sends Google LLC anonymous information about your visit: which pages you viewed and when, where you arrived from, your approximate location derived from your IP address, and your device and browser type. We use it to understand which parts of the site people need. We do not use it for advertising — the site carries no advertising of any kind.

Google acts as a processor of this data and may process it outside Ukraine and the European Economic Area.

At the bottom of every page there is a “Cookies” button that reopens the question. If you choose “Reject”, the Google Analytics cookies are deleted and the script is no longer loaded.

Refusing is exactly as easy as accepting: both buttons in the banner are the same size and the same style, and each is a single click. If you simply close the page, nothing loads — doing nothing here means no.

Logs

We keep no visit logs. Your IP address is needed by the network to deliver the page to you, but it is not recorded or retained on our side.

Application errors are logged so that we can fix them. Such a record holds the address of the page and the text of the error — and holds neither IP addresses nor any other visitor data.

Olympiad participants’ data

The “Database” section publishes the names of participants in the Ukrainian olympiads in informatics, their schools, years and results. These are official competition results, and publishing them is part of running the olympiad.

If you are a participant or a participant’s parent and want to correct an error in your data or discuss its removal, write to contact@uoi.ua.

Your rights

You may ask for access to your data, for it to be corrected or deleted, and you may object to its processing. Write to contact@uoi.ua and we will answer.

Children

The main audience of this site is schoolchildren. That is why analytics here is off until it is deliberately turned on, and why the site carries no advertising and uses no advertising or remarketing tools whatsoever.
