From the 5-th to the 10-th of July, the Central European Olympiad in Informatics 2026 took place in Ljubljana, Slovenia. A total of 59 contestants from 15 countries participated in the olympiad.

The Central European Olympiad in Informatics (CEOI) is an annual informatics olympiad for the countries of Central Europe: Croatia, the Czech Republic, Germany, Hungary, Poland, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, and Ukraine, as well as invited guest countries.

The Ukrainian team won one silver medal and two bronze medals. The team consisted of:

  • 🥈 Vladyslav Khalin, an 11th-grade student at Kharkiv Lyceum No. 118 of the Kharkiv City Council (coach: Valentyn Melnyk), won a silver medal;

  • 🥉 Andrii Kuzma, an 11th-grade student at the Uzhhorod Scientific Lyceum (coach: Serhii Vapnichnyi), won a bronze medal;

  • 🥉 Illia Shevchenko, a graduate of Boyko Author's School (coaches: Valentyn Melnyk, Oleksandr Mitsa, and Mykola Arzubov), won a bronze medal;

  • 🍀 Daria Perekopska, a graduate of the Dnipro Scientific Lyceum of Information Technologies (coach: Valentyn Melnyk).

The team leaders were Sofiia Hohol and Valerii Kovnatskyi. The trip was organized by the Ukrainian Federation of Olympiad Programming. The trip was sponsored by Citadel.
