Junior Balkan Olympiad 2023
The Junior Balkan Olympiad in Informatics was held from the 25th to the 28th of November 2023. The olympiad was organised online by North Macedonia. Most of the participants from Ukraine competed from Uzhhorod.
61 participants from 13 countries took part in the olympiad.
Those who took part in the olympiad were:
- Maksym Fedorchuk, a 9th-grade student of Zhytomyr Lyceum No. 25 (coach — Serhii Zhukovskyi), scored 333 points and received a gold medal;
- Stepan Simak, a 10th-grade student of Kyiv Lyceum No. 145 (coach — Andrii Popyk), scored 327 points and received a gold medal;
- Andrii Basov, a 10th-grade student of the Kyiv “Naukova Zmina” Natural Sciences Lyceum (coach — Andrii Popyk), scored 245 points and received a silver medal;
- Kseniia Strelbytska, a 9th-grade student of Vinnytsia Physics and Mathematics Lyceum No. 17 (coach — Andrii Popyk), scored 242 points and received a silver medal.
The team leaders were Serhii Loshak and Vasyl Merenych. The trip was organised by the Federation of Olympiad Programming. It was fully sponsored by Citadel LLC.
UPD. The organisers changed the medal standings after this post was published. The post has been updated. In the earlier version of the post every participant received a silver medal.
