International Olympiad 2021
The International Olympiad in Informatics 2021 was held from the 19th to the 25th of June. 351 participants from 88 countries around the world took part in the olympiad.
The Ukrainian team won one gold medal and two silver.
Oleh Naver — a 10th-grader from Kremenchuk Lyceum “Polit” scored 382 points out of a possible 600, which let him finish 25th and take a gold medal. His coach is Valentyn Ivanovych Melnyk.
Andrii Kovryhin — a graduate of Lyceum No. 208 in Kyiv, received a silver medal, finishing in 33rd place. He was prepared by Ihor Valeriiovych Kovryhin and Nataliia Mykolaivna Yeremenko.
Kostiantyn Savchuk — a graduate of the Korostyshiv Educational Complex “Secondary School of Levels I–II — Lyceum of Information Technologies” in the Zhytomyr region, finished 71st with 304 points, which earned him a silver medal. His coach is Serhii Stanislavovych Zhukovskyi.
Maksym Tur, a graduate of Lyceum “Polit”, fell just short of a bronze medal. He therefore received a certificate of participation. His coach is Valentyn Ivanovych Melnyk.
To make the team, the contestants competed in the Ukrainian Olympiad in Programming 2021, on the strength of which the best four out of three thousand registered participants joined the Ukrainian team.
