From July 21 to 27, Eindhoven (Netherlands) hosted the European Girls' Olympiad in Informatics. 195 participants from 56 countries took part in the Olympiad.

The purpose of this Olympiad is to encourage girls to participate in Olympiads in Informatics, as there are incredibly few girls at the International Olympiad in Informatics.
